I guess now that I’m running for senator people might be interested in my background; I was born and raised in Agat. I lost my mother at the age of 4 three days before Christmas and my baby sister was only 2 months old. Family for us meant everything! My father Jose (Joe Pineda) San Nicolas was a Commissioner (Mayor) and my mother Lourdes Diaz San Nicolas an elementary school teacher. From the very beginning we always had God in our lives because my dad was a Techa. 

I grew up in the church serving 11 years as an altar boy. I attended Agat Elementary School and then Piti Middle School. I graduated from Oceanview in 1993. I was elected president of the freshman class, I was in the ROTC drill team, football team, wrestling team; making all island, I was president of DECA (Distributive Education Club of America), And I ran the student store. I was a member of the Guam Youth Congress (1993). I have a black belt in Aikido, a certificate in basic law enforcement from GCC, a bachelors in History and a master’s in Counseling from the University of Guam. 

I’ve been an entrepreneur all of my life retailing many goods throughout the years and renting our my family home in Agat. I served as a customs officer for 23 years attaining the rank of captain before leaving to be a an educator as school counselor at Southern High. I served in the Army National Guard and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I am 100% Service Connected Disabled Veteran. I worked as Santa Claus at the Navy Exchange for 2 years.I donate my time as Santa to charitable causes, schools, and religious organizations.  I am a non denominational ordained minister since 2011 officiating straight and gay marriages.

I started my company J. Goodman in 2020 so I can be Santa all year around. I have 4 children and I am married to Ellene Asiaten San Nicolas a former Special Ed teacher.  My wife and I work together running J. Goodman. 

I love to laugh, I approach everything with humor and common sense, I have an indomitable spirit and a zest for life, I am extremely optimistic and happy all the time! 

My vision is to eliminate poverty and hunger, work for racial, disabled, and gender equality, lowering taxes, supporting small business and the education system, job creation, searching for new industries, improving government services, island beautification, lower crime rate and meth use, encouraging family values; restoring respect of our elders and encourage wholesome homes for our young, character growth, and working to build excellence in every part of our social strata for a better society and a happier Guam
